Scientific Name: Egretta garzetta
Description: 22-28 inches; White plumage; black legs with yellow feet; black bill; greyish-green lores. Breeding: lores reddish, two long head plumes.
Habitat: Wet areas throughout the island; nests at The Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary,
Statue: resident breeder; Barbados, at The Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary, was first place in the Western Hemisphere where Little Egrets established breeding colony.
